Plug-in Overview

This plug-in allows the device to discover and control DMX-based lighting equipment that implement the Artnet protocol (DMX over IP). This plug-in is an early release version.

Supported Context Types

Web App Usage

Integrate Dynamix into your Web app, as described here.

Add context support as follows:

You can then control a discovered DMX light using the following methods (NOTE: The plug-in currently only interacts with the first DMX-based light discovered.)

Fade to white

Fade from current color to white.

  • Fade_Period: The number of milliseconds that the fade should take.
  • Keep_On: True to keep the light on after the fade; false otherwise.
  • Duration: Milliseconds to keep the light on after the fade. (Note: If “Keep_On” is true, Duration is ignored.)

Fade to RGB

Fades from current color to a specified RGB color.

  • Fade_Period: The number of milliseconds that the fade should take.
  • Keep_On: True to keep the light on after the fade; false otherwise.
  • Duration: Milliseconds to keep the light on after the fade. (Note: If “Keep_On” is true, Duration is ignored.)
  • R_Channel, G_Channel, B_Channel: Target RGB color.

Set Color

Sets the light to the specified color instantly.

  • Fade_Period: The number of milliseconds that the fade should take.
  • Keep_On: True to keep the light on after the fade; false otherwise.
  • Duration: Milliseconds to keep the light on after the fade. (Note: If “Keep_On” is true, Duration is ignored.)
  • R_Channel, G_Channel, B_Channel: Target RGB color.

Turn off light

Turns off the light.

Fade to RGB to RGB

Fades from one RGB color to a second RGB color.

  • Fade_Period: The number of milliseconds that the fade should take.
  • Keep_On: True to keep the light on after the fade; false otherwise.
  • Duration: Milliseconds to keep the light on after the fade. (Note: If “Keep_On” is true, Duration is ignored.)
  • R_Channel, G_Channel, B_Channel: Starting RGB color.
  • R_Channel2, G_Channel2, B_Channel2: Target RGB color.
